Ashburton, Devon history is believed to date back to Saxon times as early as 3000BC but there is no evidence of settlement before 500BC.

Today, Ashburton Devon, is ordinarily a colourful, vibrant and bustling town. Ashburton has learnt from and honours its historic past through continued celebration including the ancient bread and ale tasting ceremony.

Its location, nestled on the edge of Dartmoor National Park situated just off the A38 Devon expressway, halfway between Plymouth and Exeter, makes Ashburton the perfect destination to meet with friends, socialise and shop with and for family in a series of unique (some would say Quirky) independent shops and boutiques or dine in some of the many wonderful and award-winning eating and dining establishments.
